The Opening Ceremony of WorldSkills Lyon 2024 took place on 10 September 2024 at the LDLC Arena, Lyon’s largest event venue.

Located at the heart of OL Vallée, a complex of leisure, sports, cultural, artistic, and medical facilities surrounding the Groupama Stadium (Lyon soccer team’s official stadium), the LDLC Arena was designed to accommodate a wide variety of events: sports, live shows, concerts, and professional events.

It’s in this 14,500 m2 infrastructure, a benchmark in Europe in technological and environmental terms, that we welcomed French and international Competitors and spectators to celebrate the official start of the 47th WorldSkills Competition.
